In my blood....

They say once a junker...always a junker...it's just in your blood...

I kept telling myself that as I've struggled thru a big "funk" both creatively & personally...My dear friend Judy, from the Cinnamon Stick, has been trying her best to help get me out of it & I truly appreciate the friendship & encouragement! I love you Judy!

I've been trying...I really have...went junkin a few weeks ago & it didn't work...I didn't feel a thing....which brought me down even more....

so today I took a jaunt to one of my first junkin grounds from many years ago..hoping to spark something...with a good friend in tow, what a nice day it turned out to be...

And LUCKILY

IT IS STILL IN MY BLOOD!!!

While I didn't find a ton of smaller goodes like I normally do, today scored me a few larger pieces to fill in some of the EMPTY spaces in the shop...I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything!! Every piece is already in the shop ready for Wednesday...EXCEPT the 5 gallon Red Wing crock ~ THAT piece has to be added to my Red Wing collection....::big smile::

Into the shop also went some "smalls" that I had picked up in my trip to Pa back in the fall..yes, I KNOW, FALL! But, better late than never!

AND, oh JUDY!! I am SEWING again!! FINALLY! Soo those heading to the shop later this week will find all sort of new handsewn wares..I'm slowly getting there....

AND....

stay tuned for news of my 2nd Annual Valentine's event!!!

Lisa,
Your not alone! I'm in Nebraska and our weather has been beyond cold, gray and lots of snow. So, I'm blaming my funk on that. I also have a shop (events & Sat. during the holidays) and I work a full time job also. I think after the Holiday season I keep such a pace that once I have a chance to slow down... my body, mind and spirit just about shut down!
Glad to hear your feeling better!

Well, Lisa, don't you reckon Judy is getting tired of giving us NC gals a 'kick in the attitude'? LOL
Just nice to know we're not the only ones who've been in a slump! We WILL have sunshine again, so keep up the junkin'...I will as soon as we thaw out a bit...LOL
Blessings!!!!

Yippee....was getting nervous there that you had lost your sparkle...some of the glitter I have been working with must have blown all the way to NC with the yucky winds we have been having and "sparkled you up. Good "Junkin" my friend...great goodies - nothing better than shopping with a good friend (Sharon and I spent the whole day today doing just that - CDM was filled to the brim with some good stuff) Can't wait to see what you are creating - Sending many hugs and so so so happy you are LISA again!! XOXO, Judy

Good stuff! Glad you are feeling better. You were probably just suffering a little burnout from such a busy December...not counting the prep for it. I on the other hand am suffering from writer's block. I'm doing lots to prepare for spring but dont' think any of it worthy of writing about. Maybe I need a little kick :)
See you soon!

We definitely all go through periods of funk. I want to craft but can't decide where to start or what to do. It would help if all my stuff was organized and I could go about the process in a much easier way than digging through trunks and drawers and baskets and cupboards. Glad to hear you are getting back into the swing of things. Best wishes, Tammy
